Clothing requirements for all trips should include sensible footwear, a warm jacket, a raincoat if the weather looks doubtful, and a change of clothes and a towel for the kayak tour

If you use your own transport, allow 50 minutes driving time from Karamea to the top carpark in the Oparara Basin, the starting point for the cave and kayak tours.
Turn-off point into the Basin is some 10kms north on the Karamea-Kohaihai Road,.at McCallums Mill Road. Take care, put your headlights on, and watch for oncoming traffic for the next 16kms of gravel road. Not recommended for large motorhomes or buses.

1. Guided Cave Tour

• Departure:10am & 1.30pm
• Duration: Approx 2 1/2 hrs
• Rate: $85 adult, $40 under 12. (min 2 max 8)   Current price valid til Sep 30.   From October 1,  prices for the new season  will be $95 adult, $45 children
• Meeting at the top carpark in the Oparara Basin.  Warm clothing and sturdy footwear essential
  

2. Guided Kayak Tour

• Departure:1.30pm
• Duration: Approx 2hrs
• Rate:$85pp (min 2 max 5 )  Current price valid til Sep 30.   From October 1, price for  the new season will be $95 pp

Meeting at the top carpark in the Oparara Basin. Kayaking trips are subject to last minute cancellation if river or weather conditions are unfavourable. Guides decision is final. Refundable.  Bring a  warm change of clothes and a towel

Kayak tours do not begin until mid-Dec when the blueduck breeding season is over. The kayaking season finishes in April..
Back to back cave/kayak tours available at a discounted price of 10%. Discount for group bookings.
Transport available with the guide from Karamea for an additional $25pp

3. Honeycomb Hill Cave/Oparara Arch Guided Tour

• Departure: 9am
• Duration: Approx 5 hours
• Rate: $140pp (min 2 max 6) Current price valid til September 30.  From October 1, new season price will be $150pp

Pick up from door with morning and afternoon tea and a cut lunch provided

4. Grand Tour of Honeycomb Hill/Oparara Arch/Kohaihai

• Departure: 8.30am
• Duration: Approx 8 hours
• Rate: $230pp (min 2 max 6)  Current price valid til Septmber 30. From October 1 new season   price will be $240pp

Pick up from door with morning and afternoon tea and gourmet lunch provided.

5. Valley Track Eco Walk

• Departure: 8.30am
• Duration: Approx 7 – 8 hours A reasonable level of fitness is required.
• Rate: $230pp (min 2 max 6) Current price valid til September 30. From October 1 new season price will be $240pp
